There is a new article in ‘Twisted Pulp’ magazine (USA) No. 46, featuring a long interview with Brian Purcell, and concerns his paintings, books, lyrics and covers of albums by Distant Locust. The questions about Distant Locust focused on the early days of the band (1982-87) and the lineup of Brian (vocals and gizmos) Matthew Bright (keyboards and synths) and Tony Lawrence (bass and electronics). Unfortunately the lineup of the later group (1987-95), which featured Steven Moore on bass, drums, drum machine and electronics, wasn’t named. Steven’s contribution to the band’s mature sound was at least, if not more significant than any other member’s. He was, and is, a brilliant person.
